About Kara Baker

Originally from South Texas, Kara discovered her love for the Rocky Mountains during several visits to the area. Then in 2019, she and her husband, Robert, together with her daughter, Gretchen, took a bold leap of faith, leaving behind a successful business, dear friends, and family to start an exciting new chapter in the beautiful community of Estes Park, Colorado.

Today, Kara serves the Estes Valley as a Realtor® with The Thompson Group – a Keller Williams Top of the Rockies office in downtown Estes Park. With more than 35 years of professional experience spanning marketing, operations, business management, and real estate, Kara offers her clients an exceptional depth of knowledge, insight, and enthusiasm. Her background includes serving as a licensed Realtor® in Texas, founding two start-up companies, and building extensive expertise in business strategy and operations.

Before relocating to Colorado, Kara combined her entrepreneurial spirit and love of coaching into opening a dance studio in Texas. In just four years, the studio grew to serve more than 240 students, supported by 14 teachers in over seven dance styles. Kara and her team of teachers trained their students not only in the art of dance and movement, but more importantly in the art of life. Kara’s passion for sports and movement runs deep – from competing in synchronized swimming and gymnastics to serving as a varsity cheerleader, Kara has always been in tune with how physical motion becomes a form of creative expression. She went on to coach synchronized swimming, dance, and gymnastics, sharing her expertise with hundreds of children. Today, Kara continues that same commitment by teaching gymnastics at the Estes Valley Community Center in Estes Park.
