About Steven Rusch

Steve was drawn to Estes Park and the Rocky mountain region from a very early age, having visited regularly with his family from Wyoming. In fact, the day after graduating high school he moved here for the summer prior to his freshman year of college. He faithfully returned each summer working jobs such as guiding flyfishing and climbing, various restaurant and retail businesses, along with remodeling homes and performing tree and landscaping services. After college, Steve began his work with the local utility authorities which evolved into a more administrative role including large scale capital project management, engineering, town planning and development approvals. Today, Steve utilizes his past knowledge obtained from over a decade of land use, skilled labor and utility infrastructure to add a unique approach to his career in real estate and is proud to make this successful as a member of the amazing team at the Thompson Group. He firmly believes that all past education experiences can add to the value of any new situation.

Today, after more than 25 years of living in the Colorado mountains, Steve still enjoys the same things that brought him here from the beginning. Only now these things are far more enjoyable because he is doing them with his son, who in Steve’s mind is the most amazing little human on the planet.

With a never-ending passion for international travel, which now includes around twenty countries and counting, it is so amazing to be able to come home to this stunning scenery full of endless endeavors like floating rivers, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, live music…all of it!
