    About Laura Howse

I grew up in South Eastern Michigan in the small town of Clarkston. My father worked in the auto industry in manufacturing. I had a wonderful upbringing with many outdoor adventures with the lakes and natural areas close to the mainly rural areas near where we lived. My parents were loving and hard-working. I enjoyed many activities while growing up, but my main focuses became showing horses and ski racing. After high school I attended Western Michigan University. In 1991 I relocated to Telluride Colorado to teach skiing. In 1995 I moved to Fort Collins Colorado to attend Colorado State University. While there, I received a B.A in Natural Resources Recreation and Tourism, with a concentration in Geology and Environmental Education. During the Summers I was fortunate enough to work for the United States Forest Service as a Wilderness Ranger. I patrolled the Eagle s Nest and Ptarmigan Wilderness areas in Summit County. After I graduated from Colorado State in 2000, I got a job as a land use planner for Clear Creek County. In 2001 my first child, Hanna arrived. I moved to the town of Empire in 2004. My son Braden arrived in 2005. The years in Colorado's central mountains have been full of raising my kids with all that this area has to offer. My kids grew up skiing, snowboarding, hiking, attending music festivals, theater events, basketball games, soccer games. After working for a number of Realtors as an assistant in both Telluride, Summit County and Clear Creek County, I decided to obtain my license in 2010. I have enjoyed assisting buyers and sellers with their real estate needs in these wonderful mountain towns. I take great joy in helping others realize their own Colorado dream.
